I've just read of a few members in another forum who were told today that Chase is not doing loan mods, only forbearances, for another THREE MONTHS while they put new systems in place. Has anyone else heard this?

Hi,
I'm not familiar with all the terminologu so please forgive me; I'm not sure what a laon modification is but we have a Chase mortgage and they refinanced us from 15 yr to 30yr no doc verification on a HARP loan- they thought our house was going to be upside down but we actually ended up with equity but the loan was approved prior to them knowing that and from start to finish was less than 30 days. This was with us owing more on credit card minimum payments than our monthly income. Didn't think they'd do it, but it wasn't a problem. It lowered our monthly payment by about $400/mo.
We were trying everything to fend off the inevitable & look where we ended up anyways- filing a chapter 13 probably at the end of this month or next month....
