    in Oregon with questions...

We filed chapter 13 in October. are going to have to modify that to a 7. We havent been able to pay our Mortgage for the last 2 months and cant pay it again this month.

We need to start saving $ to move but that is next to impossible with our current Chapter 13 payment.

My attorney is really not terribly helpful. I only ever get to speak with his assistant and I feel like half the time she doesnt know what shes talking about. I asked her how long we have before we have to move out and she said once the mortgage company files for relief of stay we probably have 60 days. BUT, my friend went to an attorney yesterday that told them they probably have 9 months!!! HUGE difference!

I'm wondering if we should wait to convert to a chapter 7 until the mortgage company files for relief or if we should go ahead and file chapter 7, which would give us a couple of months without the chapter 13 payment (I think ???) to start saving.

How long does the foreclosure process usually take in Oregon?

any help would be SO appreciated! I'm so frustrated and stressed!!!
