My house is listed as FSBO

I did some Googling on my address yesterday, just to see what if any information was out there, aside from the public notice posted when the NOD was filed, and the trustee sale/auction, which is scheduled for Nov. 18th.

I was surprised to find my house being listed on a few Real Estate/Foreclosure sites as being FSBO (For Sale By Owner), in addition to listing it as being pre-foreclosure and having an NOD filed.

Has anyone else seen this on their house? I understand sites will get foreclosure information, as it's public record. But it feels really CREEPY to have some 3rd party listing my house as being FOR SALE....while I'm still living in it!

I'd been checking my lender's website that lists properties in foreclosure (by that lender), and mine wasn't even listed as being "pre-foreclosure", as late as September. Guess they just haven't updated the site, or somehow missed me, or some other reason.

Hi, I saw my house on foreclosure.com listed as preforeclosure. Sorry, it is creepy!
Those sites will probably boom right now.....

My home is listed on Real Estate.com for $73,359 when I owe $120.000 on it, the County property appraiser said its fair market value is only $56,789. I have surrendered it and although still living in it am going to move shortly unless the mortgage company wants to work out something with me in line with todays value, also the house needs some fixing up, the mortgage company stand to loose quite a lot, me too for that matter but they stand to loose more as I will be walking away and they will be left with the problem.
Wish me the best as I will be having my creditors meeting on tuesday 11/04/08.

I noticed odd amounts owed on some sites with my house, too. One site said the house was "for sale" for $9,400...which is how much I'm behind on the mortgage payments (adds up fast at $2,400 a month).

I hope you post about how it goes for you, I'd be interested in following along. I'm still in the house too, and mine needs a minimum of another $50k. I put in $50k over the last year, and found during that, that it needed more work than I had expected. In the middle of the remodel, my life sort of...crashed.

So now my poor little house sort of "has one shoe on, and one shoe off."

Oh yeah, I'm sure those sites are doing big business. Too many people in this area think they are going to get rich quick by buying a foreclosure. *rolls eyes*

Mine's worth today, maybe 1/3rd of what I owe on it.

Yes, mine is upside down too. I owe about $648k and it is now worth $450k at best....! It's going back in the CH 7. Hard to overcome $200k underwater.

I hear ya! I owe $283k, and it would be worth around $135-150k....*after* the remodel is finished. So more realistically of what it's worth today, as is...about $100k.

The house was built in 1917, and has been my project for the last 11 years. If I was wanting to stay here, the negative equity wouldn't be an issue. But the reason I stepped up the fixin' up in 2005...was so that I could sell it and move out of the 'burbs. At this point, emotionally I'm done, and from a financial stand-point it would be throwing good money after bad to continue to pour money into it.

I just hope they don't tear it down after I leave, and something stupid like that. I got a beautiful new roof and 50-year windows I'd hate to see go to waste.

Did you check foreclosurepoint.com? My house is up on that site and on another called foreclosure.com, which also shows the names of many of the defendants. If you check on that site, you may see your name right there up for anyone to read

My house isn't listed up for sale on any sites yet. . . who knows what will happen. It's going to be auctioned on 12/5.
