That's too bad, you could have lived there free for quite a while.
Just call them when you vacate, they will come out and change the locks.
Unfortunately, you won't be able to cancel the insurance until the day of sale.
I wished they were 'backed up' in TX, I am scheduled for Sale December 2nd. 5 months from the time I stopped paying.
And the bank seemed surprised I didn't want a 'workout'...
After I tried on 2 different occassions??? Meh...

FWIW, my homeowner's insurance cancelled for lack of payment, and I got a letter from the lender saying that if i didn't keep the insurance current, they would cover the premium and add that amount onto the mortgage balance.
Ummmm...OK by me

if I am eventually going to be foreclosed on (missed pmts in feb/mar/apr and filing ch 7 in july) while I live here for free do i have to pay homeowners?waiting to file in july-august,
waiting for Chase to begin foreclosure,
waiting for cc's to begin lawsuits,
just waiting (& "afraid")...

but I was advised not to pay anything related to the house, after it was obvious that I would lose it and file BK. It does depend on how quickly you expect to file BK, also. I've seen law suits over past due HOI come up a lot faster than foreclosures.
