I found this forum and hope that someone could give us some advice. My husband and I bought our house about 6 years ago. The payments have become so unbelivable that we can't afford them anymore. They are $1321 a month. It is to the point that I am borrowing money off my parents every month just to make ends meet. Well that isn't fair to my parents and my parents are getting ready to retire so I have to do something. My husband and I have made the decision to just walk away from the house. We did speak to a realtor which was a good family friend and was told that we would never be able to get enough money out of the house for what we owe plus repair fees and to pay her. We have even tired to sell the house to the "ugly houses" company. The entire 2440 sq house needs new carpet. We only have about $5000 dollars in home equity. We have found a mobile home which is closer to my parents and works out alot better for us as far as payments. We have got the financing for it from a second chance financing firm. We are suppose to move in at the end of the month. Obviously our original house is going to be going into foreclosure. We are going to seek the advice of an attorney once we get moved into our new home. We are a bit worried about everything that is going to happen...Can you all provide me some insight maybe?
