    bankrupting property taxes and 1099?

My lawyer (who is a bit of a jerk when it comes to answering questions now that he's "all paid") said that he could add in my property taxes on our home that's getting auctioned and that he would "take care of" the possibility of a 1099 form being sent to us on taxes for the left over amount after the auction or short sale that is in the works - that he could include it in the bankruptcy. However, on my bk paperwork none of this is included in it. I've asked him about it, but as I said, he's a jerk and hasn't responded back to me about it. Has anyone else had similar circumstance where they've been able to do this?

    Thanks!

you cannot get a 1099 on any debts you have included in a BK, therefore you wouldl not have to include anything add'l on your forms, however if you owe back taxes, then you should be including your taxing authourity as a creditor.
