How long after att get p/work is 4closer stopped?

I asked this in another question but I think I threw in to much info at once. After we give our attorney all of our records how long until the foreclosure is stopped? We are in Ohio if it matters

Your BK must be filed for it to stop the action.

Make sure your attorney is kept up to date about your sale date.
If needed, everything can be assembled and filed in a day or two. But, you'll pay out the nose for it.
Procrastination is your worst enemy. Same day is as good as sold, one week is possible, one month is preferable, two months is a cake walk.

For what it's worth, here's my experience in stopping a foreclosure:

I retained my attorney one day, he filed the next day and the foreclosure was scheduled for 8 days later.

When talking with him about the foreclosure before I retained him, he said he needed the paperwork from me about a week before the scheduled foreclosure, however, this was all around Christmas so he may have been adding a few days extra because he was going to be out of the office.
I used to have a life, now I have grandkids.

One of my houses was scheduled to be foreclosed this past Tuesday. I filed the Friday just before that. As long as your attorney contacts the atty handling the foreclosure, it should be fine. I think even if they sell the home on the steps, if you have already filed bankruptcy a day or two before the sale will be reversed.
