I also have CW and their BK department has been very friendly and helpful. It sucks that they don't do reaffirmations or allow online billpay from this point on but the only thig thats really important to me is that I can keep my home and a stable environment for my children. I get a statement from CW every month with three different payment coupons. It has never shown up late.

The only bad thing is that they will never report payment history again. I am reaffirming my HELOC thru Wells Fargo to help rebuild my credit.

Interesting...CW hasn't reaffirmed me, and they're reporting to the CRA's like everything is ok.

I have been current, but due to an pending job loss, I am afraid I am going to have to surrender the house back.

What I need to find out is...

On a surrender, will the balance eventually show 0IIB??\

Or-Will it also report as a foreclosure??

Or-if I can get a deed-in-lieu accepted, how will that report??

Trying to minimize the damage, my attorney is pretty much useless

          Countrywide payments directly by phone

My BK was discharged back in Jan 08.

Kept my home, but never received/signed a re-affirmed mort. w/Cwide

Been making online payments just fine, and Cwide has been reporting to credit bureaus. I thought this was great luck, and was very happy.

TODAY, July 30, I go online to pay, and it is locked. I call, get routed to the BK dept. and am told that they were just notified last week about my BK, and I have no online access until discharge.

Well, I gave them discharge info, but they said they would do nothing until the court informs them of discharge. ???? I said "they did....7 months ago"!

Anyway, supposedly nothing I can do until their "system" receives the discharge notice.

Regardless, until then, no online pmt access, BUT they said informational statements will now be mailed each month.

*** PLUS they WILL take payment by phone, at no charge/no fees "while in BK". You have to call the BK dept: 800-669-5224. I made a phone pmt today, no problem.

So...I little wierd that this is happening 7 months after discharge, but whatever.

Only bad thing, I bet they're going to stop reporting pmts to the credit bureaus....and that makes me very sad!
