Comingling exempt with exempt instead of exempt with non-exempt

In states where alimony is exempt as long as it isn't comingled....

what if it were comingled with a one time exempt social security payment.....

In other words, is it really comingling if you put exempt funds in the same account as non exempt funds?

Comingled in a specific account designated for an exempt asset? No as long as you can show the proof of where the deposits came from if asked by the trustee

Well, if that's the case...andyes I can show where the govt. used my 'alimony only' account to depoosit it's first ss check...then I probably don't need an attorney to fight that fight.

And I can show that my retirement money is from a qualified ERISA plan.

      Good news at last.
