assets?

hi, i am looking at bankrupcy from credit that i built up from a business startup.

i have a house in chicago i couldn't sell so i have it rented out, not making any money, and the repairs and taxes are eating me alive.

Right before i went into business i went through a divorce, so i don't have much for household assets.

but i have my truck i drive, a 66 impala, that is in parts, no suspension, engine, interior.

and a 74 comet, that the engine and trans is out of ( my mothers old car )

i have a bunch of older tools, tv, 2 computers, bed, dresser, etc.

any info would help.

Each state has exemptions, or amounts you are allowed to protect/keep in bankruptcy. What you can keep depends on what state you live in. Beyond that, consult with a couple of local bankruptcy atty's to discuss your income, debts, expenses, assets.
