My lawyer valued my two cats at $10 each. I asked him if he was serious and he said "Why, are they worth more?" I told him no, they're priceless. He laughed and said that everyone says that of their pets; he was simply obligated to put a price on them. If the trustee made a fuss, he'd deal with it. I told him that if he wanted to fuss over two PITA whiny, noisy cats, he was welcome to them.

My two handsome boys (Labradors) are purebred but fixed, fat, and lazy. If the trustee wants them, I'll feel obligated to disclose the gas problem. Silent-but-deadly, weapons-grade, peel-the-paint gas.
It will also help explain my recent scented candle expenditures!Filed non-consumer no asset Chapter 7 on 7-12-10 after 4 foreclosures, 7 lawsuits including 2 deficiencies, 2 wage garnishments, a bank garnishment and a partridge in a pear tree. 341 held on 8-11-10. Discharge 11-4-10.

omg. I surely was NOT thinking, was I? Maybe I should amend my exemptions. Maybe I should have valued the wee beagle mix nuthin but trouble doggie at like $5000 and not exempted him. The only reason he survived this long is because he is so cute, but that doggie has EATEN most of my other possible exemptions. I finally bought him a crate so he isn't loose in the house when I am gone. Otherwise I might come home to no house - - no house, no exemptions - - at all.

I am totally laughing here, because we have a Lab pup that's in the chewing phase....and if we don't break his chewing soon, I fear this may be us. LOL.
We have been crating him since we got him though, so he's never alone in the house.

LOL!@ the doggy gas! What's funny also is when doggy does audible gas and spins around looking for the source of the sound and can't find it!
I will never, never, and never leave my dogs home alone and loose. Crates are a necessity. They get into enough trouble when we're home to watch them. Chomping on a D cell battery son left out and burning skin off tongue. Swallowing one of those 25 cent rubber bouncy balls from the candy machines at the grocery store....yep...there it is on the x-ray! Doggy digging hole in backyard then tripping in it the next week requiring another trip to the vet. The list goes on. And on and on!
Gotta love it though when they listen to you talk to them. The ears perk up, the head tilts to the side and they really listen to what you're saying.Filed Chapter 7 April 29th, 2010

My wee beagle has eaten a pair of sandals that I bought to replace the pair of sandals that my ex-boyfriend's stupid cat ate... dug a hole in the middle of my memory foam mattress... chewed undies, socks, TWO pairs of slippers, the zipper off one of my winter coats, the zipper off my pink fuzzy bathrobe, a roll of duct tape, a CD and jewel case, a lacy garter, and three computer keyboards. Oh yeah, and the collar off one of my other dogs, and a leather leash that I had for 20+ years! Not to mention that this is the only dog I have never been able to get housebroken. But at least he uses paper. Most of the time.
I swear, his cuteness is the only reason he has survived this long.
