If I am divorced, have joint custody of my son, and pay $1100 in child support, do i have a household of 1 or 2 when it comes to the means test? My son lives with be and my ex wife as we trade off month to month. The divorce decree states that we have joint custody.

Who has primary custody in that agreement and who gets to claim the child on their Federal Income taxes ? Even though you have joint custody someone is the primary ?? -
I guess my answer is in your original post. Your paying $1100 a month child support. I think its safe to say that your ex is the primary in the joint custodial agreement.
