Question about Individual exemptions when married

    Hi,

I asked this in the Chapter 7 forum with no response, thought i'd try this one. Just a quick question....i know on the house, if i file individual the equity is divided in half since my spouse isn't filing. Then i get my individual exemption.

How about household goods, furniture and things like that? How does that work for a married person filing individually?

Same way for the most part, you half interest in all the household goods, the only thing that is not split are 401k, IRA, etc.

    Good Luck
