I own a small corporation. Thinking of filing personal Chapt. 7. My car is in the company's name. I use it as my primary vehicle. It's the only only car I have. A person's vehicle is exempt under state law. Does it matter is the title is in the corp's name? I am the sole shareholder. Very small business. Can I use federal wildcard exemption? Your thoughts would be appreciated.

The corp is considered an asset of your personal BK estate.
All assets of the corp will belong to the BK estate unless you exempt the asset.
You need to discuss with your attorney the details. Can't tell you about the Fed exemptions because we don't know where you are located and some states will not allow Fed exemptions. You can not mix and match state and Fed exemptions either - its one or the other in the states that do allow Federal exemptions.Filed CH 7 9/30/2008
