Should I try to exempt or not?

If I am filing say on a Thursday because it's when my checking will be at its lowest and then the very next day I get paid - should I try to exempt the next days paycheck?

What if it's for pay for the two weeks directly before filing up to filing and then including the day after?

(I have a cash exemption for 2500 that I could try to put this under if people think I should try to exempt it)

Well, if you are not going to use that exemption for anything else then it couldn't hurt. You wouldn't be exempting wages, you would be exempting cash in bank accounts.

Also, you can always amend your petition later if you don't use the exemption and find out that you needed to.
