On April 1-2022, California System 2 (703) exemptions have gotten a very nice bump

edit title: "On April 1-2022, California Bankruptcy Exemption System 2 (703 Exemptions) have gotten a very nice bump"

    source 1 - last update 4/5/2022:
    https://www.nolo.com/legal-encyclope...ty-assets.html

    source 2:
    https://www.legalconsumer.com/bankru...sonal-property

Always consult the California Code of Civil Procedure which, as I post this, still shows pre-2022 exemption figures

    Renter exemption or homestead exemption?

Also, I personally don't post these because they age and become dated references. Generally, I only reference the site containing the information and include a brief synopsis. Mainly because most of the members can't edit a post after one hour has elapsed from creation.

(It's just a side note and trying to remind myself that we have a lot of old data and stickies that have aged.)

    Chapter 7 (No Asset/Non-Consumer) Filed (Pro Se) 7/08 (converted from Chapter 13 - 2/10)
Status: (Auto) Discharged and Closed! 5/10

Any advice provided is not legal advice, but simply the musings of a fellow bankrupt.

Ive updated post to delete specific amounts and pointed to external site. The exemptions for renter's went up quite a bit.

What was the renter's exemption? Or are you calling System 1/2 based on whether a person declares a homestead? I just never heard it called a renter's exemption.

Yeah System 2 - i call it 'renter's exemptions' vs 'homeowners'. You are right, its not referred to as 'renter's exemptions'. Cant edit title now but should be titled 'California System 2 (703 exemptions)'
