Mine was a buyer charge back with eBay itself. If I look for my old account it doesn't even come up. When I sought out feedback I left for another seller, I found the feedback but it says that I'm not a registered user or no longer a registered user.

yes, i think the buyers charge back would eliminate you ebay account if you didn't pay them.

once they have you listed a "longer a registered user" that's exactly what you are! they are mean.

They didn't get paid. I have a new eBay/PayPal account now. Every time I sell something (which isn't often) they hold my funds for a couple weeks before giving me my money.
Paypal is a very cagey organization when it comes to regulation...I don't know their exact legal status, but I've heard they try really hard not to be classified as a bank. Wouldn't be surprised if they call themselves a "factoring company".

factoring is based on fronting funds on projected receivables and projected future sales in most cases. factoring is used for example in the toy industry where the majority of the industry itself is holiday driven, however manufactures of these goods need to make them far in advance for their projected sales. ( i personally have worked with banks that factored companies that's the only reason i know a bit about it).

i'm not thinking paypal is that complicated. they are more like loan sharks..

I have been using eBay since 2001, and I cannot stand them anymore! There is nothing for the sellers, everything is weighted toward the buyer. eBay now dictates your policies and you have no recourse. I've just been forced into two returns that I'm scrambling to pay. In both cases, the buyers have have misused and damaged the goods where I will not be able to resell them. If I could find something else, even something that was like the "old eBay" I'd leave eBay in a heartbeat.

i so hear you!! i sold an item for 85 dollars 7 days ago and NO payment!!! i wrote two nice reminders my auctions clearly state payment within 3 days or please do not bid.

i had to file a claim, but big deal, the buyer gets a slap on the fingers and i'm out the money and i had 6 others looking at the item when the that buyer hit the buy it now. it was MY fault tho, as i usually mark the box that if they do the buy it now it must be paid for on the stop. also, i put up the item when ebay was offering sellers free listings for that day, so now what, i have to relist it and pay for it....

in the old days when you didn't pay you were thrown out the door!!

When you go to relist, DON'T hit 'relist', instead choose 'Sell Similar' and revise your description slightly--even if you just add dashes or a few dots. Then you are not charged for 're-listing'.

ok...i'll do that. i am going to give the person another 2 days or so. apparently this person is buying up a ton of estate jewelery and this piece she got from me i got last year at an auction with a BUNCH of really nice other pieces. this was the first chance i have had to get it up and there was so much interest in it, i'm certain it will sell again. it's just i was counting on that $85 and spent it! that was so bad of me, and i know better

I agree it's just awful! I so count on my little pittances from eBay. But now because of the ridiculous policies they are trying to force sellers into, 1/2 the time I wait forever, before I dare to use my PayPal money
