What do I owe you, Don't ask B of A

    Dylan, What a find! LMAO

I have two alleged BoA/MBNA accounts that were sold to these JDB's. My credit show both accounts were paid in full.

BoA kept no records and they lost or never received records on the original MBNA account. They have told me this. As far as BoA is concerned, I was an outstanding customer who had $0 balances on all past BoA debt. LOLOLOLOL!

I keep waiting to be sued by the JDB, so I can show the courst my paperwork from BoA showing the debt was "paid in full." It's not my fault that someone else paid it for me.

I have to think that this entire JDB debt buying debacle is just beginning. I am sure my local circuit court judges will love these articles for entertainment value.

    Thanks!

Tree: I owe B of A for two credit cards for the past 14 months, have not heard from them in 8 months or so.

The American Banker article is rich with information. It supports my assertion years ago on this forum that BoA and many others wash their hands of the debt once it is sold. I hope this article empowers debtor attorneys and weakens CACH and LVNV claims to the "alleged debt" they purchased.

I'm glad that in an indirect way BoA stuck it to the JDB's.

Read the comments at the end of the American Banker article for further interesting insight. Again Dylan, Cool.

I have had a similar problem with disputing a BofA account on my credit report that flipped back from Included in BK to a closed/charged off status at some point.
I called them and they just do not have any records.
filed chapter 13..confirmed...converted to chapter 7...DISCHARGED!
