I received a call from a collection agency (accounts receiveable) "EOSCCA." I decided to call them back and they are attempting to collect on a debt with Century Link. I have never had an account with Century Link.
Well, as it turns out, Century Link is the new name of Qwest which used to be called US West. I have not had a home phone with QWEST in years. In fact, I have had my cell phone since 2001!
The person I spoke with was very nice and I suggested he send me written information. As far as I know, I have no outstanding debt with any phone company.
I am guesing that when QWEST became Century Link, they probably had some changes in software and maybe even changes in their accounts receivable programs.
In the meantime I searched the web for info on this CA and found two pretty funny Youtube postings.

"Are you an adult?"
"Only on the outside."
