    question

    hi..new here..i have credit card accts. that i have not been able to pay..most of them it has been three yrs since i have made a payment. They have been in colections and i periodically get letters from the collection companies. So far, no legal action has been taken, The SOL in my state is 5 yrs, which means i have 2 yrs to go. I am pretty much trying to wait it out. Dont have the $ for bk. do collection agencies ever sue? do you think i will be ok just waiitng it out??

    So far, you are fortunate. Yes they can sue you. Two years is a long time to anticipate. If you do not wish their calls, then write them a C & D letter, but remember that could inspire them to act.

    If you see no way out, start saving for a lawyer. Not knowing your situation, I can say no more. You might purchase online the Nolo book about C7. About 26 bucks pdf format. It is very good. Read all the stickies on this subject. You will learn much.
