    How to Answer Complaint?

Would it be a bad idea to answer the summons I received without an attorney writing it?

From the research I've done so far, I see that their are only three ways to answer it.

    1. Admit
    2. Deny
    3. Lack the knowledge to for a belief of the truth

I literally signed my Chapter 7 petition, and now its just a matter of me calling my attorney and telling him to go ahead and submit. The problem is I now have 1/4 of a house, which when sold could settle my debts.

If I get a default judgement, will it make my Chapter 7 more complicated if I decide to go through with it? I've read that a judgement stays on your report for 7 years.

The thing is I don't really have any more money for attorneys, unless they are willing to work with me until the house is sold and they can take payment out of the proceeds. I'm just trying to go about the best way to tie the lawsuit up in court until I can settle.

Also, are most of these websites which give you step-by-step responses and forms to lawsuits scams? Do "sworn denials" work or will I be digging myself a deeper hole?

I really wish my attorney did not tell me to ignore the summons. I guess he figured I'm filing BK7, so what's the point in wasting your time. It's been past 30 days and I have not answered, but it's not to late, because I have contacted the court and they told me no further action has been taken.

    What would you do?
