Some interesting reading, from the debt collector's perspective...

You will have to register to get these free reports, so be careful what email you use to register, etc., but there is some very interesting information in these reports. Look for the "Log in to InsideARM" box in the upper right side of the screen. You'll have to log in to get to the download page for the free reports...

    Here's the registration page...

    Here's the free report page...

Here's some of the info you can find...

"The decline of the real estate market has led many debt collection agencies to rely less on proceeds from home equity loans to satisfy debts, and more on wage garnishment. As such, more and more agencies are relying on place of employment (POE) data to obtain new phone numbers, contact debtors while they are at work, serve legal process, or garnish wages. But often a single, comprehensive, up-to-date POE data source does not exist. Read this free report to learn how to employ a waterfall process with POE batching to get the most out of your data."
    The world's simplest C & D Letter:
"I demand that you cease and desist from any communication with me."
Notice that I never actually mention or acknowledge the debt in my letter.

While I agree to always be very careful as to what email you use, this is a very legit website that has a vast array of information. Most everyone in the industry uses them as a source of information on current events.
All information contained in this post is for informational and amusement purposes only.
Bankruptcy is a process, not an event.......

well i do understand that while in most all states allow wage garnishment for child support and unpaid tax debts. some states don't allow wage garnishment for creditor debts - North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, and Texas....in those states they'd be SOL!
