Others will chime in, but a judgement is when the opposition wins in court against you and obtains...well...a judgement. They can come after your bank account for garnshisment (PA has no wage garnishment) and I've read on this board elsewhere that some places in PA they got LIENS against personal property. I don't know how the transformation from judgement to lien works in PA, but a lien is an instrument on real estate that "sits there" until you try to sell the house and it has to be paid off beforehand.

It may be that if your mort co gets wind of the lien, they'll want you to pay it...

BUT in BK7 the amount you OWE for the judgment is wiped out, and you can then petition your local court to vacate the judgment. The lien is more complicated and I know others will respond.

A judgment is nothing more than a document that states that you owe someone money. Nothing can be done with a judgment until they take it a step or two further.

A judgment can not be used to take your money or your property.

The judgment however, is the step used to obtain a lien or a fifa, which can be used to take your property.
