Got my first letter from a CA today. Called Client services out of St Charles MO. I am not even 90 days late with BOA. Owe them 16K and 14K. I am also not even 90 days with Chase and got an settlement offer of debt owed, 4K to settle for 3K.

My husband has the collectors from St Chas after him too. Eh. Any idiot looking at our credit report or other financial investigation is going to see that we are completely broke with next to nothing of grab-able assets, so they are really reaching in our case.

Exactly. Its easy not to talk to them when you do not have a land line. I'm approaching the three year mark when I broke up with my dozen creditors. Only one judgment that is approaching the two year mark. They tried to seize my closed checking accounts etc..

I sent the CA a cert. letter asking them not to communicate with me, my friends or neighbors. (x mother in law is ok and do they need her number, just kidding)

Yeah I had one CA calling my mother and that was embarrassing but right now I'm under a lot of stress with being unemployed and under a ton of debt and all they have to do is take one look at my credit report and they'll see that I don't have any assets on paper.

Every collection agency should be sent a cease and desist letter as soon as they make contact with you.
