    CA's attorney after several months: oops, we DO have your money

    So after going several rounds with the CA's attorney and my bank, I mysteriously get a check in the mail from the CA'S attorney. So after insisting in writing they did not get the money forcing me to go toe to toe with my bank... oops.

    So they held onto my money for five months. What jerks. Oh well, at least I got my money back thanks to the education I received here. Thanks everyone!

    I'm glad to hear that you finally got your money back.

    The world's simplest C & D Letter:
    "I demand that you cease and desist from any communication with me."
    Notice that I never actually mention or acknowledge the debt in my letter.
