Experiences with Creditors Interchange Receivable Management

Just got a call from Creditors Interchange Receivable Management for my father. When I told them that they were calling a invalid contact number they demanded that I give them his work and cell number. I informed them that under advisement of legal counsel that I had been instructed to forward all questions or information request to <their attorney's name and number>. The guy got pissy and said "well if he won't talk to me, I'll get a contempt charge on his fat ass and he'll be ordered to appear" and hung up.

Looks like from a quick google search they're you're typical "All bark, no bite" scum-suckers. Anyone with ever deal with them before?

Haven't dealt with them, but I'd sure be doing the whole "recording this call" bit in future. Stupid collectors don't seem to realize that debtors are becoming more educated about their rights in the debt collection arena.

no, i haven't dealt with them...but i would turn THEIR ass into the FTC.....

They had an account of mine a few years ago. I requested DV and never heard from them again. As I recall, they did pull my credit report.
