In NC they can't garnish your wages. They can get to your bank account. I guess if they were going to try to garnish my wages- I would be worried about losing my job. I am just worried that all of them are going to come for money now that the dismissal is done. I don't know how to find out if the accounts are with the original creditors or have been sent to collections. So far one letter on one and one call on another. I haven't heard from the larger ones yet--I have 2 that are $15,000. I don't know if they can make you pay back payments for the time that you were protected under bankruptcy. Our dismissal toook 6 months. All of our accounts were up to date when we filed--I don't know how that works. If you are 50% - 50% on the mens --make sure you have a really good attorney!
