    Chase bank question

I have two credit cards with Chase Bank and a home equity line of credit. If I quit paying on the two credit cards and kept the home line current, could that call that loan due? The home equity line is on my x-wife's house that I agree to pay in the divorce.

They cannot call the home equity line (HELOC) due unless the credit cards are cross-collateralized with the HELOC. Now you're wondering, how would you know if they are cross-collateralized. If you were with a Credit Union, they probably would be, but since you mentioned Chase, it's unlikely, unless the credit card product is a HELOC type card.

Justbroke: Hey, thanks. The Home equity line was with Washington Mutual and Chase purchased them while the Chase credit cards have always been chase. Thanks.
