Hello all I live in Michigan and was just notified of a lawsuit that was filed on 072310. Haven't received summons and complaint as of yet not sure how long it takes. This has really got me pushing to have bankruptcy filed by August 31, 2010. At this point I'm going to notify my attorney but I'm also going to answer the complaint in hopes for more time which is what Nokia123 suggested. My question though is that there suing me in the city of grand rapids but I live in the city of kentwood. I had some of my mail going to my parents house because I had moved and hadn't changed my address and so I guess for this credit card that is where I told them to send bills. However since I don't live there and I don't pay city taxes there because my address is in kentwood, would I be able to request motion to dismiss due to incorrect jurisdiction? Any help would be appreciated.
