My brother lives with me, he works at mim wage job so he does not have a lot of money,he is behind on his bills,he tries he sends his credid card 200 a month.The sheriff was just here they are sueing him,he just threw it away,can they raid his bank account? I was hopeing he would move iut soon,they cant come after me cuse he lives here can they?

Fropm what I have read on this forum........he should respond to the lawsuit....search the posts here for more information on that. And never have I heard of them coming after a relative providing a home so think you are safe there.

They can't do anything to you, as long as you don't have a joint account or something foolish like that.
Tell him to close his checking account / savings account, because the money is no longer safe in it. And prepare for wage garnishment. At minimum wage, depending on how many hours he works per week, he might be able to file an exemption in court to wage garnishment. He might make too little money to be garnished. But he had better start getting paper checks from his employer and cashing them.The world's simplest C & D Letter:
"I demand that you cease and desist from any communication with me."
Notice that I never actually mention or acknowledge the debt in my letter.
