Getting call today (several) from Advance Credit Recovery (877-458-2508). Started with 3 auto-dialers. Then progressed to me getting a real person and getting cursed out over a payday loan in the name of someone else in another city, including threats of lawsuits. (yes I got 'em on tape). Need a physical address to C&D the effers and file my complain with the state. Google isn't helping, they seem to be all over the place.

I'd file your complaint w/ the NY AG also. Doubt it will do any good. ACR violates the FDCPA every day every call. They are total scumbags.
There's also a scam going around claiming to be ACR - probably from out of the country:

When you are dealing with an agency like this that is trying to hide its identity and location, I find it helpful to let all of their calls go to voice mail. If possible, assign them a silent ring tone, so you don't hear them even calling you. After awhile of not getting you on the phone, they will step up their efforts and will eventually give you a call back phone number, which you can use to figure out who they are, in most cases.
But send a C & D to the address listed in the above threads. If it is them, they will probably get it and stop calling. Also try sending a cease and desist to their email address. The world's simplest C & D Letter:
"I demand that you cease and desist from any communication with me."
Notice that I never actually mention or acknowledge the debt in my letter.
