GC Services unpaid traffic ticket

I have an unpaid traffic ticket from last year, it was sent to collections with GC Services and I finally have the money to pay it off, however I have a couple other things that are in collections and would rather not pay the full amount I owe GC Services ($1700 for driving without insurance). I called the clerk at the court to see if I could appear in front of a judge and they don't have anything available until October. I need to take care of this to get my license back and have already sent a letter to GC services offering a lower amount with no response. Does anyone have any suggestions?

$1,700 for no insurance? wow! Can't you go to the court cashier and ask to make payments?
