Collections and Workmans Comp
I posted in another thread and still thought I should open this one to maybe get some help from anyone out there that is on Workman's comp. I have a cc that was charged off and purchased by Asset Acceptance,LLC. I sent them a DV letter just a few days ago and was wondering if they can take me to court or not? The amount went from 9,000 when I had the cc to 17,000 now. I stopped paying that in Aug of 08. Either way I don't have the money to even offer a payment plan. Can they also garnish my wages? I was wondering if I should just call them and let them know that I get paid even less than I did in 08 or just let it go to court and when they see I don't have even the smallest amount to offer maybe the judge will figure something out. I already settled one account with them that drained me so I don't have anything left. My fico is about 650 but I really don't care because I don't have any extra money to go buy anything anyway. I won't be better anytime soon so I was wondering what the sol is in Arizona??? I think it's three years so I thought If I called them and told them sorry disability I could get under the radar. One could always hope.
