I'm kinda shocked they are already calling my job. I got to work today and one of the girls told me some woman called for me. I never get calls from anyone at work so I know it was one of them. Discover I'm the latest on going on three months. Every time they call tho it's automated. The rest are less than one month behind so kinda threw me for a loop that they are already calling my job. I gotta get that money saved for attorney. I think I'll start answering the phone at home and just telling them sorry I have no money. I don't really think that will stop them from calling the job though, I dunno.

They are just doing their job...
That is a weak excuse at best..if someone thought they may get fired
then they would never include their work number on the creditors application,
and do you really think they care if your employer lets you go?

Wow you must be a collector or something.

You can stop all the calls at work really easily. First, actually answer their calls at your home. Wow, what a novel idea! Instead of ducking the calls, actually talk to them. Then when you have them on the phone you simply tell them that your work has a policy against personal calls at work.
While that is all that is required to keep them from calling your work, a certified letter gives you the proof should you want to attempt to sue them later.
When creditors would call me, I would answer the call, confirm that I was indeed the deadbeat they were looking for but then I would tell them that at this time I refuse to discuss my personal financial situation with them.
You should have heard the stuff that came from the other end of the phone. No one can make you discuss anything that you don't wish to discuss. I told the collectors that we could talk about the weather, the Braves or the war in Iraq but if they asked about my financial situation again I would hang up. And that is what I did.
Sometimes, I'd end the calls with "Same time tomorrow, Ms. Smith?" They are just doing their job, trying to pay their bills. Many days we'd both be laughing on the phone joking. Other days I'd get someone threatening me with horrible consequences if I didn't pay right away.
YOU ARE IN CONTROL - Remember that.
