Crap One raises the white flag for now.

Got a one page letter from the Crap One law firm that sued and got a judgment against me. They are pleading for a settlement for 30% or payment arrangements. They are suggesting that I use my tax refund towards the debt. I have until April 15 to decide. Yea, I already made my decision.

Finally, they peaked in to my credit report last month which is a replica of the Battle of Algiers, with many of the dead on the battlefield. If they looked before, they would of not spent hundreds of dollars in collection efforts.

Somehow, I'm not sure checking your CR has any effect on a decision to sue. I have also been sued by C1 and the legal firm pulled my train-wreck of a credit report. I can only surmise that the legal firm must be paid by the hour and not working on a percentage.

The weird part about this, is that I sent the debtor exam(current checking #) via unregistered mail and apparently they never received it. On two occasions after wards, they sent me notice that they seized my since two closed checking accounts and that I had 20 days to claim exemption.

My state is a creditor friendly one. Once judgment is granted the creditor can directly demand a debtor exam response with out coming directly from the court. However, I did not know at the time I could blow their debt exam off and not respond unless they spent more dough with the court ordering my compliance. Since my initial response never got to them, I was never summoned to answer.

Cool about the credit exam. What state are you in? Will you bk 7? With a little more effort, you can get that Judgment set aside. 'Hub
