Ha ha! Yeah, it really is.

If you want to see really "interesting" people, go to downtown Eugene on any Saturday in the summer (the Saturday Market) or if you're nearby on the weekend after the 4th of July, try attending the Oregon Country Fair. That part of Oregon is where the 60's went to die, but yet lives on.

Now some financial advice... if you are facing a judgment, I wouldn't leave any more money in any checking account or savings account than you can afford to lose or at least have frozen and tied up until you can prove it is truly exempt in court. Try to use cash, money orders and prepaid Visa cards until you can file BK.
    The world's simplest C & D Letter:
"I demand that you cease and desist from any communication with me."
Notice that I never actually mention or acknowledge the debt in my letter.

Thanks treehugger very good reading and something I hadn't considered until this point. Now to decide what course of action.

Yes, sounds like cash is the way to go just a bit of a hassle and still worried about the trustee asking me to explain where it all went after it was removed from the Bank.

Keep receipts of everything you spend with cash, money orders (which come with a receipt anyways) and pre-paid Visa purchases as well.

And yes it is more difficult than just writing checks for everything or using your checking account debit card, but think of how inconvenient it would be if a judgment creditor froze your checking account and you had no access to that money until you could prove to a judge that it was really exempt.

As soon as you can file bankruptcy, this problem will go away and you can go back to your normal life.

Hey GD, we're no wannabe's up here - were the real thing.
(now where did I put that roach clip?)
