    Barclay made a special request

Spoke to someone at Barclay today and told the person we are filing for bankruptcy. The man on the other end told me that we should seriously consider keeping this card and letting the others go. As in reaffirm this card. He really really tried to convince me that I should bring this up with my attorney and try to set it up so that we'll still have this card post bk for emergency purposes. Huh? I had not seen anyone here post anything like this so wanted to share.

It's obviously a tactic to try to squeeze even the tiniest bit of a payment out of the debtor before it's to late.

He did say that in order for us to keep the account on this card open so that we'd still have it post bk we'd have to make a minimum payment of at least thirty something dollars today.

I so bad wanted to explain preferential payments to him, lol! But I kept my mouth shut.

There is a special place reserved in hell for these clowns. They were the ones that made me realize I wanted to file.

I called them beforehand to try and work out a hardship arrangement, and the best they could do was raise my payment by $15-20 a month. Not exactly what I was looking for!

Hopefully you will run out of toilet paper right after their reaffirmation agreement arrives...

            LOL @ the toilet paper!

I don't know what these companies are smokin'. Why they think anyone would want to keep a card that is at 27 percent interest is beyond me.

I finally had to interrupt the guy and tell him that I wanted to just give him my attorneys info and leave it at that.
