Voice mail or an answering machine should be your best friend.

I bought a cheap refurbed Tracfone ($8 at the Family Dollar Store) an got a number. Set up the voice mail with the greeting basically saying that if the call was in regards to collections contact (gave them my attorney's name, number, and mailing address). Costed me $20 every 90 days, but it was worth it for the piece of mind. Amazing how many collectors just didn't get the hint and kept calling even after the bill as discharged in the Ch. 7.
