Garnishment

I stopped paying cc in Sept.09, just received two letters from collection agencies. I plan on sending them DV letters.

I plan on filing chapter seven in approx. two months. ( March 2010 ).
Sholud I be worried about garnishment of my paycheck or my bank account being tapped into by creditors at this point ?

You don't have any worries about just a letter. You should be able to stall them for a couple of months before they file suit.

you will be fine. I stopped paying 25 CC's last feb. and just filed BK saturday.

Albacore44: Just wondering what was the largest amount you owed to anyone card. Are you saying you went a year without being sued?

I too have been delinquent for more than a year, no suits, just lots of wasted trees.

My husband went about 14 months without being sued. Then, right before we filed; we were by Capital One (for almost $2000) and Beneficial (for almost $16,000).
