I am wanting to file Chapter 7 in late March or April, to get past the 90 day mark on last purchases, and get the lawyer paid. I am thirty days late on all my cards....coming up on missing a second payment the next few weeks..........robo calls have been coming. Answering machine picks up. I retained a lawyer last week, and he said its OK to tell callers that I have retained, and give them his number. Still, I just haven't pulled the trigger on picking up just yet. Somebody give me a nudge!

Almost all of our calls stopped after giving out the attorney information.Stopped Payings CC's: 8/14/2009 | Retained Attorney: 9/23/2009 | Filed CH 7: 12/7/2009 | 341 Meeting: 1/21/2010 - Complete | Discharged: 4/9/2010

And your phone will continue to ring, so if it's no bother for you, then don't pick-up. However, once the creditor(s) is/are made aware that you have an attorney representing you in BK proceedings, the calls will drop off and eventually cease. IMO, that''s better than constantly checking the caller ID. You have more peace and quiet.Bankruptcy History:
Chapter 7 filed - 10/12/2005 - Asset
Discharged - 02/16/2006
Case Closed - 11/08/2007
