May creditor send process server to employer?

They do know our home address, there is written proof of that.

The process server did eventually come here (about six weeks after the suit was filed, we'd been waiting for him because I already knew about the suit from the county website).

I'll be looking this up myself, but I'm so angry right now that the creditor would try to humiliate us by going to the employer first. The creditor is an HOA (i.e., our former friends).

Both the lien and the lawsuit (for about 16 months unpaid dues) were filed after foreclosure. And they do know about the change in ownership, according to the complaint, even though the deed has STILL not been filed (6 months after f/c).
Filed non-consumer no asset Chapter 7 on 7-12-10 after 4 foreclosures, 7 lawsuits including 2 deficiencies, 2 wage garnishments, a bank garnishment and a partridge in a pear tree. 341 held on 8-11-10. Discharge 11-4-10.

Yes, you can be served at your place of employment. It's done every day and there is nothing illegal or wrong with it.

I don't know of any law that states that you must be served at home.....

Civil service is: Anywhere they can find you in person, your home left with any person residing over the age of 18, a spouse, your job even if you are not on site.

Federal Service: Is, to you personal hand only, or physical pocket. It cannot be left with anyone else, or your employment or on a windshield wiper, etc.

Sorry about that stuff but 'tis the way it is. 'Hub
