    Heat being turned up???

It seems like the heat is being turned up from collectors as we approach year-end. Is anyone else feeling like this is the case? I was thinking that year-end collection incentives might be causing increased phone calls and more aggressive behavior.
Take $10 billion from the government and then sue me...nice

This is normal business. They do this to clear some of their books for their fiscal year, and think they're being generous. It's all part of a cycle. Not too different from the credit card companies that mail out "access checks" and increase credit card limits around this time of year.

I have seen some CA's farm mine out to local attorney firms, to which I promptly send a DV request, then sit back and wait. If they do sue me, the courts here are so backed up, I would have more than enough time to file my petition before the process server sees the light of day.

I just want to try and get some time behind me and I can get close to settling some of these. It is possible I can get out of this without filing for BK, but the firms don't seem to want to do anything except take payment in full, which I will not do right now.

Agree with you on that. I have sent out over 25 DV's , my phone is strangely silent. about 1/2 dozen or so moved from CA's to the Law firms. Waiting for the next shoe to drop. Have an appointment with my Att next week to get ready for my Feb. filing

Calm down and relax a little. Always remember that they aren't going to eat you. Even if they did file, they probably wouldn't get a court date until next year.

It will all work out. Just do what's right and be patient.
