    Auto dialed calls from chase,

With nothing but a recorded message telling me I am late, my rates have been increased etc.....

Last 2 days, 15 calls....15 calls and I am less than 2 weeks late missing the first payment. Total amount between both chase cards, $1600, my attorney told me to stop paying them, he should have my case filed this coming week...

They don't know you have retained an Attorney and are filing unless you tell them. Give them a call, just state that you have retained an Attorney and are filing bankruptcy.

Give them the Attorney info and tell them to have a nice day. The calls should stop.

Robo-dialers are the reason that voice mail was invented!

We just got an offer from Amex today...$2700 on a $27,500 balance.

        another from NJguy:

If you stop paying your cards for 6 months you will get settlement offers for 30-60%. You need to evaluate if it makes sense for you.

Also, the almighty Chase and Cap1 most certainly do settle to the tune of 15-25% of loan balance that I know of, possibly even less in the next year if this economy does not perk up
