Hello All
Just found this site. I received in the mail today a letter from NY City Marshall for wage garnishment for CC debt with capital one. It says I have 20 days to respond with payment. My main question is if I call do I have a chance of negotiating a payment plan of less than 10%. Like maybe $50 a month. My gross pay is enough to pay the 10%. But in the real world we know we don't actually see the gross and there is a ton of other debt.
I can't afford the 10%.
Will I have to show proof of income to them?(I read here on anther thread that they simply ask what your income is)
If they simply ask how much I make what shuold I say that will make them agree to $50 a month or less if possible?
Thanks for any help
