Wage Garnishment

Can one have their wages garnished if they are earned in a state where garnishment is not allowed but if you reside in a state where garnishment is allowed? In other words to have your wages protected from garnishment must you both live in and work in a state that does not allow garnishment?

The simple answer is probably "yes" if you have a judgment and they have it domesticated in your state of residence that allows wage garnishment. The non-simple answer is that it depends upon individual state laws.
