Some of mine have not called at all. right now Wells fargo has 2 crews working my cards each calling 3 times a day, 7 days a week. They call from 2 area codes so they are in 2 states. And its like clockwork, this morning 6:58 am, then during lunch, and again in the evening, like they think they can catch me. come-on people charge it off already and move on. sheesh

At one point I logged over 200 calls in one day. Busy day. Frustrating for them, since I do not answer.

Maybe not as frustrating, though, since most are recorded messages.

Wish I had thought in advance and set up a 900#. I could have made a fortune.

BofA called all day long. One evening they called 6 times within 30 minutes.

Discover also called daily every 2 hours from 8am - 8pm.

I think Chase and Discover have been the busiest, every two hours from 8am-9pm. Both have charged-off, too.

I noticed you said you got a call at 6:58am. I thought CA's could only call between the hours of 8am and 9pm? Not saying they're not known to violate the FDCPA!!!

Original creditors like Wells Fargo are not bound by the FDCPA rules. They can call whenever they want to collect what they are owed.

Only collection agencies, lawyers who collect debts on a regular basis, and companies that buy delinquent debts and then try to collect them have to follow the FDPCA guidelines that allow calling only between 8 am and 9 pm.
