Again....how long does it take to use?

We are about 37 days away from filing. I have been giving the CC's our lawyer info and if they ask for the case number I say we have retained but have not filed. Hubby overheard this and says I should not tell them that we have not filed that they need to call our lawyer for this info because now they are going to run out and sue us? Did I mess up, and will it take longer than 40 days if they do?

Yes, it will take longer than that for most cases. I think when they hear you are going to file soon they dont bother wasting the money on you when there are many others out there that are better targets.....U will be served papers and then u have 20 days to respond and you can very easily stall them until u file..
