    Very Interesting

    A little over a of month ago i received notices from 2 different colecction agencies on 2 of my wifes Citi Cards. So a little over a week ago I get a big yellow envelope with a dozen statements, 1 each for the last 12 months. the very next day i get a dozen envelopes from Citi, each with 1 statement in it, for the same card. Today, My daughter comes in with the mail, and she says, dad, we got 12 envelopes all from the same place. sure enough its the DV's from the other card. so these collectore are moving quickly on these DV's.

    just seems strange,what a waste of postage. ohh well they will probably charge that to my account also

    I agree it's a waste of postage. I got a big package from Van Ru a week or two ago with all of my Macy's statements. Well, at least now I have a double set of copies!

        DV = Debt Validation.

        For those dealing with collection activity, you have the right to request a debt validation (under Fair Debt Collection Practices Act), etc etc. Do a search to learn more.

            With computers and the right software, they should be able to send out the Debt Validations within minutes of receiving the letter.

              About 3-4 years ago, my landlord claimed I didn't pay last month's rent. That should not be a problem but I was on the other side of the world at that time. It was like around noon in the US and about midnight were I was.

              No problem. I had my notebook and internet.

              I logged on to my bank account and pulled up a copy of the rent's check, copied the check (front and back) to my computer and loaded it into some of my software. I enlarged the check, saved the check to a file, and then transferred it to my computer in the US. Once on my computer in the US, I pulled up the file with remote software and printed it on my US printer. The printer was about 3 feet from my landlord!

              Time it took - less then 5 minutes!

                Yeah some are ridiculously quick, others don't even reply, weird.

                Uh, Albacore, is that a freaking unibrow I see?
