If they harass you your reply is:

My attorney can answer your question would you like his/her name and contact information?

Since you do not wish to contact my attorney regarding your question I must terminate this call. Have a Nice Day (Hang Up)

BTW.. In never did record one single call. They will ask you what chapter you are filing.. your reply is.. My attorney can answer you question. I received a handful of calls. The threat of recording makes the person on the other side of the phone do their job and take your attorney information.

I get all creeped out when I see him on TV these days.

Debt Collector> Mr. Bell I'm calling from such and such about the debt you owe to whomever.

Mr. Bell> In this recorded conversation I'm informing you that I've retained the law offices of Dewey, Cheatum and Howe reference this matter. In accord with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act you may no longer communicate with me about this debt. Please address all further questions about this debt to Dewey, Cheatum and Howe.

Debt Collector> Are you filing bankruptcy? What chapter?

Mr. Bell> Do you understand that I am represented by an attorney?

Debt Collector> What chapter are you filing?

Mr. Bell> Please address all questions to my attorneys.

Debt Collector> What is your attorney's phone number? What is your case number?

Mr. Bell> Dewey, Cheatum and Howe are in the phone book and are members of the Georgia State Bar please contact them with any further questions. My attorney has advised me to get the full company name and address to serve anyone foolish enough to still be on the phone at this point.

haha, me too, I'm sitting there thinking, ok this guy is dead, what the ****, but I guess it will be his legacy. I really like that saw they are selling on TV, the one where the blades go opposite directions.
