Anyone have luck negotiating with Direct Merchants Bank after default... The balance of this debt is $4,800. Missed first payment. What do you think my options are or will be. I called them months ago when I was still current and they would not do a thing. Maybe now they will

I've never gotten much in the way of "offers" to settle from anybody except Citi and BofA. This paper is decidedly subprime so I wouldn't expect them to negotiate much.
